Dubai Economy & Tourism
Lifestyle Photography Campaign for the Africa Market
Produced by What If and developed in collaboration with Wunderman Thompson Agency, this Dubai Tourism project spotlighted a series of powerful visuals featuring some of Africa’s most recognized personalities. The campaign brought together actor Sarah Hassan, public figure Lidiya Solomon, and TV presenter Maps Maponyane, as they explored Dubai through a unique cultural lens.
The focus was on capturing authentic experiences—moments of connection, discovery, and elegance—as each celebrity engaged with the city’s luxury, hospitality, and heritage. The photography highlighted a balanced mix of iconic landmarks and intimate scenes, showcasing Dubai’s appeal to a diverse African audience.
The creative direction leaned into lifestyle photography, emphasizing natural interaction, vibrant environments, and relaxed storytelling. Carefully planned compositions supported a variety of formats, allowing the visuals to be used seamlessly across digital platforms, large-format prints, and social media campaigns.
This body of work also demonstrates principles of advertising photography, where each image served a clear communication goal—building affinity and aspirational value for Dubai as a premium destination.
