‘You don’t take
you make it.’
I’m Jure Ursic freelance photographer from Slovenia with a passion for capturing food and lifestyle imagery.
Currently staying in Dubai, I find myself constantly stimulated by the immense diversity that the city offers to me. Building on my thirst for travel, I’m permanently chasing any opportunity that arises where I can venture to new locations around the globe and expand my worldly knowledge.
I’m doing freelance photography for a couple of years now and come a long way by expanding my extensive portfolio whilst embarking on a mission to acquire new perspectives and innovation in the field of photography.
As a naturally curious person, I found that this is the most effective tool when expressing lust for learning about unique food cultures and lifestyles.
It is this curiosity to explore various food cuisines that prompted me to start my career in hospitality and continued to food photography. To this date my work has been distributed around the UAE, GCC, United Kingdom and Hong Kong and been featured in various top publications such as Time Out, What’s On, Emirates Woman, Catering news, Gourmet, Shortlist UAE, Good, Gulf News, Khaleej Times and The National. In July 2017 I win international twenty-second Foodelia Collection food awards! Among all great photographers that are participating they select 2 of my pictures.

Senior Content Art Director at UM Mena
Young and talented photographer, I had the pleasure to work with Jure on a recent shoot for a client of mine in which I Art Directed. He was very patient and quick on his feet to help solve the usual unforeseen issues. But was absolutely amazing to work with and would absolutely recommend him as a photographer. In other words, he knows his shi… shot. Looking forward to working with him again soon, which I plan to do.
